In many cases the map stored on the ECU’s processor can be accessed via the on-board diagnostics port (OBD) in the vehicle, normally found under the dashboard. In some newer models the ECU will have to be removed from the vehicle and programmed on the bench.
During the mapping process we will adjust the parameters to maximise the performance, fuel economy, or a clever blend of both. Depending on the vehicle and ECU type the remapping process normally takes less than an hour, sometime longer if it need to be programmed on the bench.
Our services cover the Bosch remap and all Bosch tuning as well as EDC15 remapping and EDC15 tuning.
EDC16 remap and tuning, along with EDC17 remap and tuning requires different handling (EDC16 looks a lot like the EDC15 system, but the EDC16 system is based on Torque (Nm) instead of Injected Quantity whereas EDC17 (introduced mid 2009 by Bosch) & MED17 use an Infineon Tricore processor.
We also handle EGR solutions, FAP remapping (which is French for DPF remapping Filtre à Particules), TDCI remap, TDI remap and OBD remaps.
Ahh, the list goes on… new cars, new systems, new ideas to remap….
